Literature Text

We went to the bench farthest from the school building, hidden entirely by rose bushes that had practically grown into a privacy fence. Akemi sat first, I joined her, sitting a few inches away. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable. She pulled a small container from her school bag, and sat it between us. She looked up to me as she opened it.
"I...made sushi for you.." Akemi nearly whispered when she spoke. I smiled to her and she blushed again.
"I've actually never eaten sushi." But I would definitely try it for her. She giggled a little and opened the container, handing me a pair of chopsticks. I took them and took a piece of fish.
"Oh..." She paused and looked away. "Y-you don't have to eat if you don't want..." She stared out across the small garden we sat in, neglecting to say anything further. I reached down and picked up my Pokemon lunch box, which made me feel extraordinarily juvenile, considering how she'd brought her lunch.  She looked over and I saw her smile from the corner of my eye.
"I brought rice balls. I made them." My rice balls looked like Pandas. They're adorable. She giggled and took one, smiling still.
"You like Pokemon, too?" Her eyes lit up when she noticed my lunch box. I didn't feel so stupid after that.
"I'm a big fan." I blurted, unable to hold back. To shut myself up, I used the chop sticks she'd given me and took a piece of her sushi, popping it my mouth. Akemi smiled.
"Me too~!" It was the loudest I'd her talk since she'd yelled at Makato the previous day.  Could she be any more amazing? I thought to myself as I watched her eyes grow at the panda rice balls. "Aww! Kawaii!" She said, smiling wide as she picked one using her chopsticks. Akemi made an "mmm" noise as she chewed. "It's really good, Hikari-chan." I smiled and nodded.
"Your sushi is really yummy, too, Akemi-chan." I told her, though sushi was a little weird at first. I decided to help myself to another piece, she didn't seem to mind.
"Th-thanks..." She said, whispering again now and blushing deeply. She obviously hadn't expected me to like it. Nervously, Akemi took a second rice ball and munched slowly on this one, not making any eye contact. Her nervousness rubbed off on me.
We finished the rest of lunch in silence, taking turns eating the other's cooking. I decided I definitely liked sushi and would eat it again. After we were done eating I looked at my watch. "We still have another twenty minutes before class starts." I said to Akemi, who smiled and nodded and then scooted closer to me. Her dark eyes gazed at mine, and she said nothing. I reached out and touched her cheek, gently. Akemi's skin was baby soft and flawless.
"You're eyes..." She said softly, blinking several times. "..are, ... really pretty." She inhaled deeply after she spoke and blushed a lovely shade of pink.
"You're beautiful." I said, smiling to her as I put one arm around her waist. She didn't push me away, which I assumed meant that Akemi did indeed like girls. My comment made her blush deepen. I leaned over and kissed her cheek, then giggled softly. "Thanks for lunch, Akemi-chan."
I'm changing the title, just so you know.

I can tell that this story is going to go on for a while,
because I'm getting attached to my characters.

Everything here is original, well, except for Pokemon, obviously.
